Treasure Hunter Lodge offers ALL-INCLUSIVE fully guided day fishing trips from the west coast of Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. Our home base is near Klawock, Alaska which is an easy 2.5 hour flight from Seattle, Washington on Alaska Airlines.
The fishing opportunities from this location are THE BEST in Alaska due to its location. Prince of Wales Island should be at the top of your list when it comes to fishing in Alaska. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game consistently ranks this destination highest in the state in both total catch and catch rates for Halibut and King Salmon.
The proximity to the open ocean provides a steady supply of fish, while the islands, bays and passageways provide sheltered waters for fishing. Prince of Wales Island is in the midst of the migrating salmon.
The tremendous habitat and baitfish attract staggering numbers of Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish and Lingcod. A large variety of fish are regularly caught on our trips and each day you will have the option of fishing for Salmon, Bottomfish, Alaskan Spot Prawns and Dungeness Crab.
Our fishing trips are quite unique. We only host small groups which makes you part of the team, not part of the crowd. Fishing with 26 year veteran Alaskan fishing guide Kurt Whitehead and Trina Nation will have you grinning from ear to ear.
Our trips are better than the rest and our happy customers will be glad to tell you why.
On the day of your arrival, we will pick you up at the Klawock airport, swing by the liquor store if you care to purchase
"adult beverages", then bring you "home" to Treasure Hunter Lodge. We will issue fishing licenses & tags, provide dinner and settle you into your room for the night.
Within minutes of leaving the dock each day you will find yourself in a pristine wilderness on the adventure of a lifetime: Eagles soar, whales dance, and sea lions roar, all against a forested backdrop of rugged mountains and spectacular coastline.
We'll get you on the water early in the morning and fish you hard all day - for as many days as you stay with us! In addition to the breathtaking coastal scenery, you can view a stunning variety of wildlife including frequent sightings of Humpback Whales, Sea Otters, Steller Sea Lions, Black Bears, Bald Eagles, Puffins, Guillemots, Auks, Gulls and many other birds.
At day's end you can relax, refresh, and reminisce while you dine on your fresh catch of halibut, salmon, shrimp, or crab. The rest is professionally filleted, vacuum sealed, labeled and frozen for your flight home.
At the completion of your trip, we deliver you, your fish and your baggage to the airport for your return flight. From beginning to end, we provide courteous and efficient service. From your meals to licenses, your tackle to fish processing, Treasure Hunter Lodge takes care of it all with no hidden costs or expenses. We enjoy a special relationship with our guests, and many return year after year. When you consider booking a fishing trip, please keep in mind that Treasure Hunter Lodge will always strive to give you the very best Alaska fishing adventure possible. Our goal is that you will become a permanent part of our extended fishing family. Guest references are available upon request.
This is an amazing Trip of a Lifetime and all our clients leave with great stories, delicious fish, stunning photos and memories that last forever!
